A visit from Andy Ellis

Today, we had our Semester 1 Sports Assembly. Sports Assembly is when we celebrate the amazing sporting achievements of Selwyn House girls. The Sports Leaders help Mrs Taylor and Rachel run the assembly and hand out all those shiny trophies. Today we had a very special guest to present the awards; Andy Ellis from the All Blacks and Crusaders. He talked to us about what it means to be a great team player and gave us some great advice about how to deal with setbacks. Andy is a very positive person and he inspired us to try and take bad news and the knocks in life with grace, picking ourselves up and using disappointment to make us better players. Andy made us laugh when he told us that all the Crusaders have an important role; his role is Head of Entertainment so he organises fun activities like movie and bowling nights for the team.

Well done to Lottie, Nadia, Taylor, Aimee and Trinity for organising such a great assembly. Thanks for coming Andy and a huge congratulations to all the talented girls who won awards today!

Since when did Selwyn House have boys?!

  1. Hey 8c
That sounds like a lot of fun.
We had Wyatt Crockett and Tom Marshall from the Crusaders come to train with our rugby team.
