We want to teach a class Scratch

What is Scratch?

Scratch is an online app that allows you to create a game or just program a character to move forwards and backwards. We've used scratch in many subjects for schools. These are the links to our other post which shows our work on Scratch: Photosynthesis

This is the link to the Scratch website: http://scratch.mit.edu/

This semester I am an I.C.T leader which means our activities are based around technology items.  My group and I want to teach Scratch online to another class. We would like to start doing this at the start of September. We will use Google Sites to develop an online class. There will be small weekly tasks to complete and you'll be given feedback on them. Once you learn the skills from the small weekly tasks you'll be able to create a game or animation.

If the whole class is not able to do it we are happy to teach a small group of people.

If you are interested in learning how to use this amazing program, please leave us a comment with a way to contact you!

  1. Would you be willing to teach anyone individually? Scratch is certainly a tool that uses so many skills

  2. Hi 8C

My class are Year 6 and we would love for you to teach all or maybe some of us to use Scratch. Would you use the old version that is down-loadable or the new version that is currently web based?

    2. Hi Charlotte

That sounds great. I think a couple of them may have explored Scratch but nothing formal. I've used Scratch a couple of times.

I will send an email shortly.
