Scrap It Up- Lilli's Personal Project

Goal/Purpose - To create Memory books for parents of premature babies in the NICU for parents in the NICU unit to have a keepsake for their memories of their time in the unit

Process -
I had to generate the idea
I then had to learn how to make the books
I had to also find out the number of babies in the NICU
I had to work out book designs and colours
Then I had to work out the decorating and also how to try and keep the costs down as much as I could I then had to cut and cover the front and back of the books, cut 16 pages for each book and then get each colour batch bound
I then had to decorate the books with stickers and panels of paper
Lastly I had to make and give out sponsorship brochures and also talk to the sponsors, I had to gather and keep track of the sponsorship money

  1. Hi Lilli,

Your scrapbooks are really cool and I love your finishing touches. I'd definitely like to have one if I could. How long did it take to make a scrapbook?

    1. Hi Charlotte,

Thank you, I think it took about 1-1:30 hours to make one book but I am not quite sure because we did them in batches.

    1. Hi lottie,

Thanks, the hardest feature was probably putting all the finishing touches on because it took A LOT of concentration and it was tedious and hard to do when you are very tired!

  9. Lilli, I am so impressed with these beautiful keepsake books. I would have appreciated these so much when both my little babies were in the NICU. This is such a scary and emotional time, and your lovingly hand made books will make a lasting and cherished gift for the parents.
