Selwyn House students teach their teachers.........

Charlotte encourages Mrs Bond as she creates her 3D model

This morning, the Y8 ICT Leaders held an optional session for teachers on 3D modelling. We invited the amazing Bridget McKendry from the Christchurch Makerspace at the Pallet Pavillion to join us. She is very talented.

The teachers were beginners but the Y8s have used 3D modelling programs before. The task was to create a key ring using Tinkercad.

The teachers' first task in Tinkercad

Bridget showed us a range of items printed on one of  the 3D printers in the Makercrate and has kindly offered to print the keyrings out for us. How cool!

Here's Mrs C-M's keyring

  1. 8C Wonderful tie in with technology and teaching teachers to make things. I would imagine that they would have been thrilled with the opportunity and it was a great way to teach new information to adults!
