Welcome to 8C, 2014

Welcome to Year 8, girls! We are really looking forward to seeing you all again and working together.

Year 8 is a huge year and there are lots of exciting opportunities. You are the big girls now, the school leaders. Here are some tips from last year's 8C girls that will help you get the most out of your last year at Selwyn House before you head off to High School.

What are you most looking forward to about Year 8? Is there anything you are feeling a wee bit anxious about? Leave a comment below. (I am secretly hoping we might have some 8C 2013 girls drop by and leave us a comment about their Year 8 highlights!)

  1. Great to see that my favourite New Zealand class page is up and running again. We loved the interaction at Melville Intermediate with our classes and although I no longer teach there, we are looking forward to the interaction at Auroa Primary School, we even have had our students meet at the robotics cup last year and I have some of the team in my classroom.

You are SO lucky to be in 8C students. You will have your work showcased all over the world with thousands of students, teachers and parents coming to see it. We are very excited about working online and looking forward to working with you this year. Best of luck for the start of the school year.

  2. Hi 8C
I had a really good time collaborating with your girls last year when taught in Wellington. This year I teaching a Year 5 class in Singapore. I loved the interaction that our students had last year and hope it continues into the next year.

You are lucky to have your learning shared with other people from around the planet. I know that our days in Singapore will be improved by reading your blog!

Thanks so much for your comment. We love hearing from you!
